| Huan Xie received the B.S. degree in Surveying Engineering, and the M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in Cartography and Geoinfomation from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2003, 2006, and 2009, respectively. From 2007 to 2008, she was with the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, as a visiting scholar. Her research interests include satellite laser altimetry and hyperspectral remote sensing. | Qiangqiang Yuan is a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Geodesy and Geomatics, Wuhan University. In addition to his academic roles, he serves as the secretary of the Party branch of the Institute of Aerospace Surveying and Mapping, and holds the position of deputy director of the Department of Surveying Engineering. Recognized as a Chinese high-level young talent and a Clarivate "Highly Cited Researcher", his contributions to the field are highly regarded. He mainly engages in teaching and research on improving the quality of remote sensing images, information fusion, and quantitative remote sensing. He has received funding from three National Natural Science Foundation projects, two National Key Research and Development projects, one Hubei Province Outstanding Youth Science Fund project, and more than 10 other national and provincial projects. Lina Zhuang was supported by the European Union's Marie Curie Fellowships talent program in 2015 and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Tecnico, Universidade de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2018. From March 2019 to February 2022, she successively served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of Hong Kong. In April 2022, she was supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Hundred Talents Program and joined the Aerospace Information Research Institute, CAS. In 2024, she received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas). She has been awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the SPIE Remote Sensing conference in 2017 and the Student Paper Competition Award at the IEEE International Symposium on Geoscience and Remote Sensing conference in 2018. Dr. Cui is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and distinguished professor of remote sensing information science and technology at Henan University. He mainly engages in research on remote sensing big data, water and soil resource utilization, and ecological and climate effects. Currently, he serves as a technology and popular science expert for China Science and Technology Press / Popular Science Press, an expert committee member of the Engineering Remote Sensing Branch of China Association of Remote Sensing Application, a founding committee member of the Basin Development Strategy Professional Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, a founding executive committee member of the Ecological Environment Model Professional Committee of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and a member of the Natural Resources Information System Research Professional Committee of China Society of Natural Resources. He has received funding from two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one National Natural Science Foundation Youth project, the Henan Province Excellent Youth Fund, the Henan Province Key Science and Technology Tackling projects, etc. Moreover, he has undertaken over ten projects commissioned by departments focusing on natural resources and water conservancy. These projects encompass areas such as water and soil resource utilization, planning for production-living-ecological spaces, remote sensing big data, and ecological governance. He has published nearly a hundred academic papers in Chinese and international journals such as Chinese Science Bulletin, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Environmental Management, Ecological Modelling, Remote Sensing, etc. In addition, he holds four authorized invention patents, three international patents, and six software copyrights. Yong Chen obtained his doctoral degree in 2020 from the School of Mathematical Sciences of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
